Luna Planting

by The Gardener - 11:32 on 03 February 2011

This year we, that is, the royal 'we', have decided to sow our seeds and transplant by the moon's phases. Today is the first day that i can start sewing....whoops, yes I should be sewing curtains....sowing seeds! I have plotted the moons phases and sorted the seeds into 3 groups and added this all to my diary. I have washed the pots and trays. The compost bins are full of great homemade compost...but I need some organic seed compost...and I haven't got any...yet!

The seeds have been planted and the first seedling appeared within 3 days. A week on and most of the seeds are up and ready fro transplanting this week. The Broad Beans are 3" or 4" tall, healthy roots protruding through the trainer pots.
